House of Sciences and Letters
The House of Sciences and Letters is a venue designed to host the activities of Finnish scientific associations. It was also the location of the previous Nordic Medical History Congress held in Helsinki in 2013. A cherished institution to all our scientific associations and functions, it is a place for meet-ups and multidisciplinary discussions. The venue is located on the eastern side of the city centre, close to the university and the central sightseeing destinations. In addition to the conference facilities, it hosts its own lunch café, but is also surrounded by several other cafés and restaurants.
In the recent years, the House of Sciences and Letters has gone through an extensive renovation process and has finally been reopened in the fall of 2022 after a restoration of many of its reliefs and decorative artworks. After the renovation all the rooms have been equipped with modern conference technology, including access to wifi, a laptop computer with associated programs, and a 75-inch tv screen for displaying presentations.
